“Cash for Claims” to be banned?

At the present time some Claims Management Companies primarily those dealing in personal injury claims, and indeed some firms of Solicitors offer their clients a cash incentive to place their claim with them.

The Ministry of Justice who are responsible for regulating Claims Management Companies published a consultation paper on the23rd of December 2010 wherein they propose to ban cash payments and other benefits being offered at any stage of a claim by Claims Management Companies as an incentive to bring a personal injury claim.
