How to Minimise the Risk of Whiplash Injuries in Road Traffic Accidents

The British Osteopathic Association (BOA) have recently conducted a survey in relation to seatbelt and head restraint use by motorists and advise that drivers who fail to wear seatbelts correctly are risking real injury.

It is common knowledge that the wearing of a seatbelt can save lives and reduce injuries in road traffic accidents, a lot of media attention is often focused on this safety aspect, however, according to the BOA most people are not aware that they way they sit inside their car has the potential to affect the injuries they could sustain if involved in a collision.
