A No Win No Fee arrangement is known as a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA). Here’s how it works:

1. The law of this country generally requires a person who loses a case to pay the winner’s costs.
2. If you instruct HilliersHRW to act for you, generally speaking you are liable to pay, from the beginning, the costs of the solicitor helping you fight your case.
3. If, however, you have a good chance of winning, we will act for you under a CFA. This means you pay nothing to us if you lose. And, if you win, you pay nothing to us because the loser pays your costs.
4. However, if you lose your case, the other side would look to you to pay their costs. This is why we recommend that you take out an insurance policy to cover you if you lose your case. This is something we can arrange for you.
