If you have suffered injury in a road traffic accident at any time within the last 3 year and that accident was not your fault then we can help you to claim compensation for those injuries. Injuries sustained in road traffic accidents can vary greatly from minor cuts and bruises, to whiplash that may last several months or even years through to the more serious brain and spinal injuries often associated with high speed collisions.

As well as helping you recover compensation for the injuries suffered by you we can also help you recover other items of loss or expense, for example, as a result of the accident you may have found yourself unable to work for a period of time whilst you recover, in that situation you might have lost income as a result and we can help you to claim this back.  We can also help you claim back out of pocket expenses such as associated travel expenses and prescription charges.

As well as assisting you by securing monetary compensation we can also help with arranging any physiotherapy or other treatments you might need as a result of the road traffic accident.

Useful Tips
Make sure you take the details of the other driver(s) involved in the accident to include:

  • Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Vehicle Details: Make, Model, Colour, Registration
  • Insurance Details: Name of company, policy number
  • If the Police attend make sure you get the officer’s details
  • If the Police do not attend make sure the accident is reported to them, if your claim is dealt with by the MIB they have a requirement that the accident has been reported to the police
  • If possible take photographs at the accident location showing the position of the vehicles
  • Take down the details of any witnesses to include names and addresses

You should also ensure that you visit your GP as soon after the accident as possible.  Everyone involved in an accident and making a claim has a duty to mitigate their loss, this means keeping their losses and expenses to an absolute minimum.  By visiting your GP as soon as possible you will be able to access any treatment needed, including physiotherapy at the earliest possible stage thereby avoiding any issues the Defendant may raise in relation to your recovery time being prolonged as a failure to seek early treatment.
